
Jainee is a Delhi-born cinematographer and filmmaker with extensive experience across India and abroad. His recent long-form credits include an upcoming Roy Kapur Films web series for Amazon Prime Video and serving as an assistant to Sudeep Chatterjee, ISC, on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi.
Recognised by NFDC India as one of the "75 Creative Minds of Tomorrow" at the 53rd IFFI Goa, Jainee shot a featured short film that subsequently premiered on Prime Video.
His formal education, specialised in filmmaking, is rooted in two prestigious institutions: he studied the physics and aesthetics of cinematography at DLCSUPVA, Rohtak, before furthering his craft at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune. He also holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication.
Mentored by industry stalwarts such as Sudeep Chatterjee, Muraleedharan CK, Siddharth Diwan and Anay Goswami, Jainee began his career in independent documentaries before expanding into narrative cinema and commercial formats.
A dedicated student of the craft, he has also completed specialised film appreciation and masterclass programs with the Indian Society of Cinematographers (ISC) and the National Film Archive of India.
